Such a waste of money ... Consistently over priced for terrible quality . I can't give them anymore business, after dozens of tries . No quality control. Money can be better spent at other crab houses .

Maybe I went on an off day, but the crabs were an utter disappointment. The crabs lacked seasoning, despite the fact that I requested extra and extremely watery. I will stick with Reter's Crabhouse.

This Blue Point Crab House is good enough to come again, though sometimes the waiting time can be extremely irritating and tests my already limited patience. The person at the front counter may tell you 10 minutes on your order, but it can take 20 minutes or when they ask, "when do you want them ready?" you tell them 20 minutes and it may take 35 minutes. This backwards timing could be due to the fact that they want everyone to have hot, fresh seafood. It seems that on some days BPCH is short on staff, but they still give satisfactory customer service, as well as samples of various salads offered. I've seen macaroni, seafood, and potato salads among several others in the case. Also crabs, snow crab clusters, shrimp of different sizes, crab cakes, etc. BC has several dessert snacks like cupcakes and slices of cake. Finally, even a fresh lobster tank for your amusement while you wait and to pick your tail to be cooked. The seasoning is regularly spicy, not over done and works well....I think it's Old Bay....it makes my nose run after eating several. No complaints on the seasonings, but of course the sizes of the crabs differ everytime based on whatever excuse came along the line of the crab coming out of the water. You compare and yeah...give them a ring.....

Was going to this place for a few years until about three years ago I noticed the help acted like it was a pain to wait on me or anyone else for that matter. The crabs had a ammonia smell, which means they have been reheated after the first time steaming or were probably dead before they even steamed them the first time. Stopped going there years ago. I go to CJs when I want crabs or Parks Landing in Westminster MD. Would not order salads or anything else from this place EVER AGAIN!

I'm looking for blue crabs for family gathering and luckily found them. They are the only ones selling near our area so even its 15 mins drive I did go for it. Took them 20 mins to prepare phone order and I picked up steam crab right on time. My relatives were very happy and told me to bring them the same the next time I visit them. Kuddos to this place! Surely be back soon... :-)

Service is not so great, girl who answers the phone acts as if she'd rather be somewhere else....crabs are sometimes empty....you're lucky if you get a good batch, don't get so comfortable because you will eventually get a bad one. It's a luck of the draw..

I tried a dozen of the $2 crab. The crabs were only worth $1 if that. Also they were not seasoned at all. I will stick with Conrad $1 specials.

I've been to this location a few times when I'm in the area. (I typically go to their Westminster location). I have always had great service each time I've visited. They are friendly and their crabs are some of the best I've had. Only comparison is the Westminster location. :) The spice they use is great. Their "Large" are.... LARGE! Very delicious. I certainly will not be going back to CJs, and will continue using their two locations in Westminster or here in Owings Mills.

Terrible customer service. Immature kids are running it and screwing around in the back and they mess up orders. Today, no one was in there but somehow it took 35 min for a crabcake platter. They should be embarrassed. A popular restaurant reviewer/blogger was with me and had terrible words to say about the place. Also food is overpriced...

Blue Point Crab House is a no frills carryout joint serving seafood, but specifically freshly steamed blue crabs. They always carry several sizes of crabs ranging from small to jumbo with reasonable prices. The crabs are always very good quality - nothing but full/heavy male crabs. Even their medium crabs are pretty meaty for their size. Also, the seasoning is just right. Blue Point seems to use an old bay base with a few additional spices to permeate the crabs - not too salty or spicy. Blue Point is the best for carry-out crabs because of their Tuesday through Thursday $2 crab special. They offer a mixed bag of crabs, consisting of primarily medium with some small and large crabs for only $2 per crab. Some places around town may offer a comparable or better deal, but as described above, the quality is better than almost every other carry-out place I have tried. Get your blue crabs from here, you won't be disappointed. If you want to avoid the wait just call ahead and place the order.

Hadn't been here in a while. Staff was very friendly as I remembered. I had a crabcake and fries. Crabcake was good but small and there were bits of shell in EVERY bite. Not cool. I guess I will keep this as a crab spot if I'm desperate. They do have a $2 crab nite but only in summer I think. Their crabs are $$$$$$ but they are the only crab spot in the area
